CURIOSANDO LE PIANTE in Pietra Ligure

Excursion on the First Hills of Pietra Ligure

A walk along the very first hills surrounding Pietra Ligure, following a scenic path that frames the town. The trail overlooks the sea while sheltered by woodland and lush Mediterranean scrub.

Together, we’ll discover wild plants — trees, shrubs, and herbs — that grow spontaneously in this beautiful natural setting.

The experience includes a small Ligurian-style snack in the shade of oak trees.

Meeting Point and Time:
Meet at 9:00 AM at the De Vincenzi sports field (municipal stadium, near the border with Borgio Verezzi), at the entrance on the grandstand side (benches).

Elevation gain: approx. 160 m
Difficulty: Hiking (E) – moderate/easy level
What to bring: Comfortable clothing for walking, hiking/trail or athletic shoes, and water

Sustainable outdoor tourism means putting the territory first.

Finale Ligure and the Finale Outdoor Region, renowned for their world-class MTB trails, hold a unique distinction: they are not just another bike park! The expansive territory, home to hundreds of kilometres of MTB trails, is open to all. But how do we protect this precious heritage, the culmination of years of dedicated work by numerous enthusiasts, from the potential damage caused by the frequent passage of riders?

Planning day-to-day maintenance work on the trail network is necessary for this fantastic treasure to continue. This includes tasks such as erosion control, trail surface maintenance, and vegetation management, all of which are crucial for the sustainability and safety of our trails. The only way we can meet the territory's needs and continue to offer some of the most enjoyable MTB trails in the world is by efficiently organizing the trail-building works.
