Spectacular excursion in the Ligurian mountains: a route that is mostly wooded but with unparalleled panoramic views. The Cornà spring among the chestnut trees, the nearby Brugo cliff (in bloom) overlooking the valley, the stone huts, the Cà du Fò beech forest and the view from Monte Ravinet (altitude 1061) are the stages that precede the final destination: 'San Pietro ai Monti', one of the most evocative panoramic viewpoints in Liguria, enriched by more than a thousand years of history. The return journey is along the ancient mule track and the dirt road carved out between the cliffs.
📍Location and times
Departure at 9.30 am at the hairpin bend below Giogo di Toirano (pass between Toirano and Bardineto at an altitude of 800 metres), short drive on a 700-metre dirt road. Return at around 3.30 pm or, if we feel like stopping, even later...
