Definitely one of the most beautiful hikes in the Finale area, a multisensory experience, a mix of History, Prehistory, Nature, breathtaking Panoramas and a touch of adventure.
Starts from the wonderful Val Ponci, a small valley where an enchanting natural and rural landscape combines with the presence of no less than five Roman bridges attributable to the passage of the Via Iulia Augusta and datable between the 1st and early 2nd century AD. Going up the valley you encounter in order: the Fate Bridge (the best preserved and still passable), the Sordo Bridge, the Voze Bridge, the Water Bridge and finally the Magnone Bridge.
Walking north you cross the vineyards of the Val Ponci farmhouse which especially in Summer and Autumn offer a charming view.
Arriving at the little chapel on Colla di Magnone starts the ridge trail passing through Rocca degli Uccelli, where you can enjoy a wonderful panorama, then you reach the rock engravings of Ciappo del Sale. Continuing the trail you reach Rocca di Corno where starts the descent equipped with ropes leading back to the starting point.
