KNOWLEDGE AND TASTES OF MURIALDO
Join us on 9 November for a day dedicated to discovering the traditions, history, art and typical flavours of Murialdo.
Take part in a 7.5 km walk with an elevation gain of 350 metres, lasting approximately 6 hours, which includes a stop at the charming castle of Murialdo, where you will witness a dramatised historical cameo. Lunch will be at the Festa dei Tecci, a unique opportunity to taste specialities made with chestnuts, the symbol of the area.
The tour will end with a visit to the village church and oratory, allowing you to immerse yourself completely in the local culture.
Places of interest along the route:
Chapel of Sant'Agata, Lago delle Masche, Chestnut grove with active drying room (stop with explanation of chestnut processing by Marco Bianco, Chapel of Santa Maria Maddalena, the Sword in the Stone, ruins of the Castello dei Del Carretto with historical dramatisation by Mary Maria Rosa Marsilio, Chapel of San Tommaso, Chapel of San Bernardino, Festa dei Tecci, Oratory of Sant'Agostino and Church of San Lorenzo.
Route: 7.5 km
Elevation gain: 350 m
Duration: approximately 7 hours including stops and lunch at the Festa dei Tecci
Return: at approximately 5 p.m. at the starting point
Meeting point at 10 a.m. in the town square, Borgata Piano, Murialdo. Departure and arrival at the same point.
