Sunday 28/9 from Giogo di Toirano
This is one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Finale area, an incredible place with an ancient abbey perched on a rocky outcrop. It is truly one of the most beautiful excursions, even if a little out of the way: we start at a high altitude, from Giogo di Toirano at 800m. The route is longer and the elevation gain is fairly modest (450m counting the various ups and downs; the climbs are well distributed, so they are within the reach of even untrained hikers).
We will pass by the Cornà spring among the chestnut trees, the Rocca del Brugo (which will still be in splendid bloom), the meadows of Ciazzalunga with the shepherds' huts, the beech forest of Ca du Fo and the summit of Monte Ravinet, the highest point at 1061m; packed lunch at the picnic tables of the Abbey.
