8 years, 1600 guiding days, 3 languages spoken, 4 areas of operation, 600 hours of training and refresher courses, hundreds of hours of trail building, a myriad of familiar faces and handshakes, thousands of kilometres ridden, and thousands of meters of elevation gain, 2 heads, 1 idea. These are the numbers that partly represent us. Everything else, even though passion is difficult to put into words, we’ll try to describe in these few lines.
Ride On was born in 2012 from an idea of mine that was immediately met by Paolo (the other head of Ride On): off-season riding (both athletes at the time) was too good not to be shared! From the first outings with just a few riders, to the purchase of our first van, the initiatives and finally the decision to “turn our lives around” together with other professionals of the bike industry. We chose to leave our jobs behind and embark on a new and exciting project.
This is how we got to where we are today: 5 certified guides, 3 shuttles, 4 areas where our tours take place (Finale Ligure, Pietra Ligure, Mallare e Nava), a partnership with a major English tour operator with whom we share customers even outside Italy (i.e. Port du Soleil and from 2021 also Austria and Slovenia), an average of 220 working days per year, 1 website and 2 social media channels with an audience of a few thousand users, 8 partner companies including DT Swiss and Fox racing shox USA, and last but not least the relationship with our partner and friend Giovanni from Oddone Bike that has brought us where we are now.
The desire to grow and not stand still, to find new destinations, to strengthen our foundations. And if numbers were not enough:
- we are all bikers,
- we are Italian Cycling Federation trained guides,
- when we are not cycling, we spend our time looking for new lines in the woods or doing maintenance on the already existing trails,
- we know and respect our territory and that is why we are proud members of the Finale Outdoor Region Consortium,
- our main goal is to bring a big smile on your face at the end of an epic day: Ride On!
