Where performance is put to the test: Bosch eMTB Athletes Camp in Pietra Ligure
From March 23 to 27, Pietra Ligure once again hosted one of the most anticipated events in the international eMTB scene: the Bosch eMTB Athletes Camp. For the third consecutive year, the Finale Outdoor Region confirmed itself as the ideal location for testing, training, and exchange among some of the world’s top riders.
A well-established event that once again highlights the area’s role as a key reference point for companies and brands in the bike and outdoor sector. It’s no coincidence that Bosch, a leading company in e-bike systems and partner of the destination, chose this location once again to bring together its athletes and ambassadors.
A true open-air test center
The camp took place between Parco Negro and the trails of Monte Grosso—a highly technical and diverse riding area widely considered a natural testing ground for eMTB.
Here, among demanding climbs and technical descents, athletes were able to test e-bike performance in real-world conditions. This was made possible thanks to the ongoing work of local trail builders, who maintain and develop an increasingly advanced trail network, including dedicated uphill trails designed specifically for e-bikes.

Top riders and global icons
Among the participants were some of the biggest names in international eMTB and MTB: Tracy Moseley, Adrien Dailly, Ramy Absalon, Jérôme Gilloux, Alex Rudeau, together with Team Miranda featuring Tiago Ladeira and Emanuel Pombo, as well as Italian standout Andrea Garibbo.
Also drawing attention was the presence of a true icon of the bike world: Danny MacAskill, visiting the Finale Outdoor Region for the first time. He expressed great enthusiasm for the quality and variety of the trail network, once again confirming the destination’s strong international appeal.

A territory that inspires innovation
As highlighted by Claus Fleischer, CEO of Bosch eBike Systems, the authenticity of the Finale Outdoor Region represents a unique value: a destination that helped shape modern enduro riding and embraced eMTB culture from the very beginning, becoming a benchmark for innovation.
Enrico Guala, Marketing Director of the Finale Outdoor Region, also emphasized how events like this further strengthen the area’s role as an open-air laboratory where companies and athletes can test, exchange ideas, and develop new solutions in an outstanding natural setting.

A strategic asset for the region
The importance of such initiatives was also underlined by local authorities. According to Mayor Luigi De Vincenzi and Councillor Daniele Rembado, Pietra Ligure has become a key international reference point for mountain biking and eMTB.
This achievement is the result of long-term vision, targeted investments, and strong collaboration within the territory—now attracting not only riders and enthusiasts but also leading companies in the sector, confirming the strategic role of outdoor activities in the area’s tourism and economic development.
The Bosch eMTB Athletes Camp is more than just an event—it’s a clear demonstration of how the Finale Outdoor Region continues to be one of the world’s most relevant destinations for riding, testing, and innovating in the bike world.
