BAT NIGHT in Toirano
The Night of the Bats: an evening walk along the Varatella stream to check on our bat friends.
With the help of a bat detector, the ‘fuzzy rats’ flitting around us won’t escape our notice. From the village centre, we’ll head up the valley past the old mills to the Ciassa furnace and the caves, passing by the abandoned Carthusian monastery...
Meeting point: under the orange tree at Bumburìn, car park on Via Certosa, Toirano (near the town hall), 8.30 pm
Duration of the walk: approx. 2 hours
Level: very easy
Notes: comfortable footwear required. Free event for members of the ‘La Fornace’ APS association who have paid their 2026 membership fee (€10, payable on the day)
