THE WITCH'S CAULDRON at Pian dei Corsi
A leisurely walk from the meadows of the La Casermetta mountain hut (formerly the Pian dei Corsi nursery) to the woods below, to learn about edible wild herbs: their distinctive characteristics, where they are found, how to gather them and how they can be used in cooking.
The experience includes an initial tasting session of dishes prepared with the herbs, to be enjoyed in a beautiful picnic area in the shade of the beech trees; followed by an optional aperitif at the refuge.
LOCATION AND TIMES:
Departure at 3.30 pm from the La Casermetta mountain hut; the walk ends at around 6.30 pm; the aperitif ends between 7 pm and 7.30 pm.
For those without their own transport: meet at 3 pm in Calice Ligure (take the No. 35 bus from Finale Ligure station)
TECHNICAL DETAILS:
Duration: 3 hours including stops
Distance: approx. 2.5 km
Elevation gain: approx. 90 m
Difficulty: hiking (E) – moderate to easy
The route may still be subject to change depending on the vegetation present, but the elevation gain will always be limited

COSTS:
€15 per person (discount for families with children). Payment on the day in cash. Book with information and recipes available for a separate donation.
Aperitif (to be paid for at the mountain hut): for example, a platter for €6 + drinks of your choice; please let us know when booking if you are NOT interested in the aperitif.

The hike will be confirmed by 7 pm on Friday, subject to a minimum of 6 participants and good weather.
In the event of forecast bad weather, it will be postponed to Saturday 20 June.
