Hiking and Theatre. The Feast of Saint Catherine in Garlenda
The Festival of Saint Catherine returns to the picturesque hamlet of Castelli di Garlenda, with a special event that combines nature, culture and tradition.
For the occasion, participants can reach the hamlet via a pleasant guided walk through the historic hamlets, accompanied by one of our environmental hiking guides. An easy route suitable for everyone, set amidst the Ligurian countryside, offering the chance to discover the area’s history and interesting facts.
Once you arrive, the village will come alive with a travelling theatre troupe performing in its streets: the theatre company “I belli… che andeti” will stage entertaining sketches in dialect, recounting the history of Garlenda and its connection to the ancient Salt Roads.
The evening will continue with one of the most eagerly awaited moments of the festival: the traditional bonfire at 10.00 pm, a symbol of community and conviviality.
