Il Sentiero del Pellegrino e la Grotta dei Falsari
Get ready to be utterly amazed! One of Liguria’s most iconic trails and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful routes in the Finale area. Starting from the Saracen village of Varigotti, you reach the splendid hamlet of Noli along a path that runs constantly along the sea’s edge, offering breathtaking views amidst the scents of the Mediterranean scrub. Don’t miss the beautiful Church of San Lorenzo overlooking the Bay of the Saracens and the famous, evocative Grotta dei Falsari or ‘Antro dei Briganti’, but the Torre delle Streghe, the Church of Santa Margherita and S. Giulia, and the Hermitage of Captain Albertis are also well worth a visit. An excursion not to be missed if you love sea views!

- Elevation gain 370 m
- Difficulty: Intermediate (Hiking)
The length of the route is calculated for the outward journey only; once you reach Noli, you take a bus back to Varigotti.
This route requires a minimum level of fitness for the climbs and some steep sections, particularly at the start.
Equipment:
- Hiking boots (compulsory)
- Sufficient water (there are no drinking fountains along the route)
- A warmer jumper and a waterproof jacket in case of bad weather
- Walking poles recommended for those accustomed to using them
- Packed lunch

Bookings must be made by 6 pm on the day before the hike.
The organisers reserve the right to postpone hikes in the event of adverse weather conditions.
