WHAT'S DUCK DOING IN VARIGOTTI?
Beloved for its quietness by many in the world of culture and entertainment, Varigotti is composed of small medieval cores clinging among olive trees and a "Saracen" village with colorful, terraced-roofed houses facing directly onto the beach.
But. what is Donald Duck doing in Varigotti!!!? Climbing up through the "strips" and Mediterranean scrub, we will relive "Donald Duck and the Night of the Saracen", an incredible adventure set in Varigotti, in the beautiful setting of the promontory of Punta Crena!!!
We will also reach the magnificent viewpoint at the ancient and silent Church of St. Lawrence: high on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Bay of Saracens, San Lorenzo recalls the lyric "Sere di Liguria," where Vincenzo Cardarelli compares our churches to "ships about to set sail." All around, a vertiginous overhang of white rocks, tinged pink in the light of sunset.
