TREKKING: THE MAREMOLA TANKS
🌿Downhill on the way there, uphill on the way back.
We follow a stretch of the historic Via del Ferro, an ancient route linking Isallo to the coast, once travelled by mule drivers carrying loads of stone and iron; we leave it behind to descend to the stream, fed a little further upstream by karst springs.
Scattered throughout the riverside woodland, we find the most beautiful pools of crystal-clear water, well worth a long break.
📍Meeting point and times
- Meet at 3 pm in Magliolo, at the Church of the Saints
- Return at approximately 6.30 pm.
- Times are compatible with the No. 86 bus from Pietra Ligure on the outward journey; return with the guide on the way back (please let us know if you need a lift when you book).

- Elevation gain: approximately 200m.
- Distance: approximately 5.5km, including the return journey.
- Difficulty: moderate hiking (E).
